4 of a family die of suspected food poisoning after consuming watermelon in Mumbai
MUMBAI: A family of four, husband (40), wife (35), and two daughters aged 16 and 13, died on Sunday due to suspected food poisoning, police said on Monday.Police identified the deceased as Abdullla Abdul Kadar, his wife Nasreen and two daughters Aayesha (16) and Zainab (13). Kadar ran a mobile accessories shop. Police sources said that on April 25, the family of four, with other five relatives, had eaten dinner at 10:30pm. Other near relatives went back to their homes. Later in the night at 1:00-1:30am, all four deceased ate Watermelon.

Post which they were attended by a family doctor and then referred to JJ hospital, where younger daughter Zainab died at 10.15 am, and Kadar died last at 10.30 pm on Sunday night.Post mortem has been done.Opinion had been reserved for histo patho report. An accidental death case has been registered in JJ marg police station. Probe is on.
